The commissioned portrait is an original hand painted work of art. To assure that the client is satisfied with the final outcome of the painting and the process I provide two pencil sketches for discussion about the composition of the final painting and a clear timeline and payment schedule.
The time frame and pay schedule are as follows:
I work from my own photographs. Upon receipt of a 50% deposit I will take photographs of the animal to be painted. This allows me time to get a sense of distinct physical characteristics and personality traits of the subject and think about the composition of the preliminary sketches. I will begin the sketches which the client will receive within two weeks of the date that I take photographs. Once I receive confirmation of the sketch, the final painting will be started. The painting will be completed three weeks from the date the sketch was confirmed. The remaining amount, incurred expenses and tax (6%) will be due upon receipt of the painting.
The amount is $2500.00 for a 200 square inch portrait. Larger portraits are priced on an individual basis. An extra $200 will be charged per additional animal. Framing is included in the price. |
