commission information
The commissioned portrait is an original, hand-painted work of art in oil, watercolor, charcoal or conté pencil. To assure client participation I provide two pencil sketches which offer options for the final painting. I work from my own photographs, a process which gives me a sense of the distinct physical characteristics and personality traits of your animal. Personally photographing your animal provides wonderful insight for the initial sketches. Two weeks after the date of the photographs, initial sketches are provided for discussion. Once I receive confirmation of the sketch of choice, the final painting will be started. Unless a different time frame is discussed, the final painting will be finished within six weeks of the date the sketch was confirmed. A 50% deposit is required to begin the process and the remaining payment is due upon receipt of the painting. Below please find pricing minimums which include framing.
